Erin, grew up with a father who was sexually, physically and emotionally abusive. Erin did not feel protected or supported by her mother who invalidated her anger surrounding her abuse. Rather than being given an acknowledgement of her trauma Erin was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and was prescribed inappropriate medications. In adulthood Erin was able to address her anger with her mother shortly before she sadly passed away from cancer. In adulthood Erin suffered from severe gastrointestinal issues, PCOS, endometriosis and adenomyosis and eventually had a hysterectomy. Today Erin is healthy, happily married and in the process of adopting a baby boy. Gina and Don, parents of 3 happy children were going about their lives when suddenly their world turned upside down. Their oldest daughter was having a sleepover when suddenly she became afraid of stepping on the floor and entering her bedroom. This became the beginning of her struggling with OCD. Unfortunately, Their other daughter fell victim to the challenging disorder as well. The entire family underwent significant challenges and therapy to help support these girls’ healing. Today Gina and Don are Behavioral Transformation Specialists where they help guide other families through similar struggles.
